"Kalashnikov" will experience improved guided missiles for the Alligator

Concern "Kalashnikov" signed an agreement with one of the research institute of the ministry of defense of the Russian Federation on carrying out of preliminary and special flight tests of missiles "Vortex-1" for the ka-52, interfax reports with reference to the procurement website. The contractual work must be completed before the end of the year. "In the case of suspension of tests, the period of performance shall be extended", – stated in the documents for the purchase. Earlier, on 3 june, the deputy defense minister of Russia yuri borisov said that the ministry intends to upgrade the helicopters ka-52 "Alligator" taking into account the combat experience in syria. He, in particular, noted that "Very good results in efficiency" showed a new guided missile "Whirlwind". "But there is no limit, so we have suggestions for improving sighting range. We discussed with the industry these issues, identified solutions," said borisov. It is also reported that in the years 2014-2016 "Kalashnikov" performed for the military a large order for the production of missiles "Vortex-1".
