According to the source, the frigate went to the white sea database, which will be carried out routine maintenance and download of "Zircon". After completion of the work and the ship would be at sea polygons of the Northern fleet in the White sea, where will be held the next launch hypersonic missiles. The exact date of the test are not reported, preliminary plans - April - may.

Recall that on the first test of hypersonic missile "Zircon" on Board the surface ship, it became known in late February of this year, when news agencies reported the launch of "Zircon" on Board the frigate "Admiral Gorshkov" on one of the Maritime ranges of the Northern fleet in the Barents sea. It was reported that a rocket launched from the ship, has overcome more than 500 km and hit the target, located on the shore. It was clarified that the first run was held in January.

"Admiral Gorshkov" is the lead frigate of project 22350. It is designed for combat operations in distant and near sea zones, and also to participate in solving problems in the ocean. Displacement of the ship is about 4500 tons, length overall - 130 m, maximum width - more than 16m. Cruising range - over 4,000 miles, seaworthiness is unlimited.

Built at a shipyard "Severnaya Verf" in St. Petersburg, joined the Northern fleet in July 2018.
