In Kazan began assembling an installation party of new Tu-160M2

At the Kazan aviation plant. S. P. Gorbunova (a branch of OAO "Tupolev") began manufacturing installation party strategic bombers Tu-160 the new build. This was announced by defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

Speaking on Tuesday at a conference in the defense Ministry, the defense Minister said that the aircraft factory in Kazan, work is underway to restore the production of new strategic missile carriers Tu-160 and has already begun production of the installation party.
Earlier it was reported that the aircraft new build and deeply upgraded front-line bomber Tu-160 Russian air force, will not differ from each other, but got a different label: the Tu-160M modernized to drill and Tu-160M2 to built from scratch.
Recall that flight tests of the first prototype of the highly modernized strategic bomber Tu-160M was held on 2 February 2020. The plane took off from the airfield of the Kazan aviation plant and carried in the air 34 minutes, through the flight at an altitude of 1500 metres.
All in All, further to the level of the Tu-160M should be upgraded 15 combatant Tu-160 videoconferencing and 2027 built ten new strategists Tu-160M2 with deliveries beginning in 2023. The upgraded missile will go to the army in 2021.
