In the Northern fleet completed tests of a frigate "Admiral Kasatonov"

Tests of a new warship "Admiral Kasatonov" launched on 20 November last year in the Northern fleet, was successfully completed. They lasted five months.

In the process of test firing a frigate fired a rocket "Caliber" in the coastal target. In addition, he fired cruise missiles "Caliber" and "Onyx" at the target positions in the open sea.

In the Northern fleet also said that, while in the Barents sea, the frigate used artillery against targets at sea and on shore, and used torpedoes, for hitting underwater targets. During test events were worked out joint actions with warships auxiliary vessels and aircraft.
The Navy frigate will be included, completing the entire set of tests. Presumably, it will be included in one of the compounds of surface ships included in the Northern fleet. Earlier, the head of the United shipbuilding Corporation Alexey Rakhmanov reported that this event was held at the beginning of this year.
At the moment the ship is finished testing in the Northern fleet and proceed, heading for the Baltic.
