The European Commission called for an end to armed conflicts around the world

High official of the European Union – Vice-President of the European Commission, Josep Borrell, decided to perform a kind of peacemaker.
According to Borrell, in terms of the spread of the pandemic, it would cease all armed conflicts.

From the Declaration Borrell, which was supported by UN Secretary-General antónio Guterres:


Josep Borrell said that the global ceasefire should bear fruit in the fight against coronavirus – "the unprecedented challenge facing the planet, and for the solution of which requires global unity".

It is Strange that EU officials began to claim "global unity" and to appeal to cease hostilities, such as terrorists, only now. By this logic, previously, the EU was not particularly concerned about local conflicts going on all over the world, and terrorist activity, which spread from the United States and Britain to Mali and New Zealand.

Remarkable in this message Borrell can be considered the fact that the Vice-President of the Commission does not consider it necessary in a pandemic to lift the sanctions and other measures of political and economic pressure.
