Su-25SM will be equipped with means of protection against missiles

Stormtroopers of air and space forces (vks) Russia will protect against guided missiles. The Russian defense ministry has announced a tender to equip the SU-25sm with modern means of protection. The winner of the tender, which must be determined before the end of the year, will be equipped with individual protection means of the type hc-26m 45 SU-25sm attack aircraft of Russian air force. Modernization works will last three years. One of the aircraft will receive new equipment this year, another 22 aircraft will be retrofitted in 2018 and 2019. The cost of all works is estimated to be worth up to 735 million rubles.

The SU-25 was developed in experimental design bureau named after p. O. Sukhoi, made its first flight in 1975, and six years later entered service with the soviet army.
