Acting Minister of defense of Afghanistan: don't need any More Russian helicopters

Acting minister of defense of Afghanistan announced that the country's armed forces no longer need Russian helicopters. According to lieutenant general tariq shah bahrami, Afghanistan "Does not need Russian helicopters, as the country embarked on the procurement of helicopters from NATO countries". Statement bahrami leads tass: now we get the helicopters made by the NATO countries, we don't need any more Russian helicopters. It is noteworthy that a few months ago, the government of Afghanistan allowed themselves to statements about what will "Insist on withdrawal of all NATO troops from the country, including the us". However, once Washington made the decision to expand the contingent of about 4. 5 thousand soldiers, the rhetoric of kabul has changed virtually diametrically opposed. It should be noted that Russia was not going itself to supply helicopters to Afghanistan. Previously it was the United States went to Moscow, signing contracts on acquisition of Russian helicopters for the afghan troops.

The main reason for entering into such contracts: deliveries of Russian helicopters cost the U.S. Treasury substantially cheaper supplies of helicopters of american or European manufacture. From the treasury of Afghanistan for helicopters was not paid a penny. For information: acting minister of defense of Afghanistan tariq shah bahrami in 1986 he graduated from the military university in kabul, upon receiving the rank of second lieutenant. In 1990 he received the post of commander of a battalion of the afghan army.

From 2009 to 2012 he commanded the forces of the afghan special forces in helmand province. In 2012 he was appointed director-general for planning and operational management of divisions of special troops of the interior ministry. In 2014 he graduated from the course at the general staff of the armed forces of Britain. Noteworthy is the "White spot" in the biography of this man at a time when the territory of Afghanistan was under the control of insurgents of movement "Taliban" (banned in russia).
