Today in Sochi hosted a meeting of the council of foreign ministers of countries-members of cis (commonwealth of independent states). Ukraine has sent the most constructive representative - banner. Recall that Ukraine is de jure continues to be a member of the commonwealth. In november 2016, the parliament was submitted a draft law on Ukraine's withdrawal from the cis. However, until now the final decision has not been made. Not taken it for the simple reason that being in the cis (even though the parliament ratified the protocol) allows Ukraine to benefit from certain economic preferences in trade with other countries of the commonwealth.

On the agenda at the meeting of foreign ministers of cis countries in Sochi there were several important issues, including the discussion on joint struggle against terrorism and extremism, as well as topics of economic cooperation within the organization. From the material of the press service of the organization:the board discussed a number of organizational and practical measures aimed at the adaptation of the cis to modern realities in the context of increase of efficiency of activities of the statutory and sectoral bodies of the commonwealth. The meeting participants adopted a common position on the procedure of carrying out tender on replacement of vacant posts in the organs of the commonwealth. The draft documents will be submitted for consideration council of heads of cis states, a meeting which will be held on 11 october 2017 in Sochi, and also the meeting of the council of cis heads of government scheduled for november 3, 2017 in tashkent (republic of uzbekistan).
