APU "captured the coast" during the exercise "Sea Breeze - 2017"

As reports the ukrainian portal of ukrainian military pages, today in the kherson region on the tendra spit was one of the international exercise "Sea breeze - 2017". The objective of the exercise during amphibious operations, the participants arrived and freed from illegal armed groups occupied the coast with marines. At this stage of the exercise involved medium landing ship u401 "Yuri olefirenko" of the ukrainian navy, the ship of the turkish navy and boats of sea protection of the state border service of Ukraine, planes and helicopters of air forces of armed forces of Ukraine. According to the commander of the multinational battalion of marines of captain Vladimir of the novel, the main objective of the exercise was to improve practical skills of junior commanders in making decisions on the situation that has developed, management units and fire during performance of fighting tasks in real conditions, the acquisition of practical skills the personnel of the units. In addition, we checked the coherence of the units. Marines partner countries jointly worked out tactical skills and interaction during the landing, counteraction diversionno-prospecting groups of the opponent, capture and retention of important objects in the crisis region, — said the officer.
