How are things in Russian helicopter industry

Russia always occupied a special place in the global helicopter industry. The demand for helicopters remains high, and in our country this kind of air transport is simply necessary, given the vast expanses and complex geographical conditions.
Currently a key role in the Russian helicopter industry plays the holding company "Helicopters of Russia", which produces 100% of the market of military helicopters and 68% of the civil helicopters in the country. It is the "Russian Helicopters" are the only suppliers of military helicopters for the armed forces. But now, due to certain circumstances, the holding relies on the increase in the share of civilian cars in their products.

Thus, the main part of the traditional buyers of Russian weapons have already managed to re-equip its air forces, ground troops, police forces with new helicopters. In China, India, Algeria, Vietnam, and several other States that are traditional partners of Russia, while there is no particular need to buy new military helicopters of Russian origin, therefore the export of military helicopters dropped significantly.
However, the export of helicopters depends on the availability of orders of the Russian Ministry of defence for the modernization of helicopter equipment. After all, if the Russian army is modernizing its helicopter fleet, this same thinking and other countries. Now "Helicopters of Russia" is actively working on a project of a special helicopter "Lamprey" for aviation of the Navy of Russia. Since 2005 produced Mi‑28N, an export version that comes with successfully 2014 abroad. In 2017 the Russian space forces have received the first 8 helicopters Mi‑28UB.
According to representatives of "Helicopters of Russia", the main objectives of the development of military helicopters – increased the speed of the air machines, increasing the range of the weapons, the improvement of radar systems, allowing to identify the enemy target.
